Amanda was born and raised in Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience. She relocated to Chicago in 2014 to pursue a master’s degree in social work from the University of Chicago and subsequently worked as a high school social worker for three years. Amanda supports students in developing emotional coping strategies, executive functioning tools, and communication skills to navigate their educational experience with awareness and a sense of self-efficacy. She is looking forward to getting to know her tutees and understanding how she can she can support them in achieving their academic and social/emotional goals.
